About Dr. Demirdover

Prof. Dr. Cenk DEMİRDÖVER was born in 1970 in Turgutlu-Manisa. After completing his primary education at Turgutlu Cumhuriyet Primary School in 1977-1981, he attended İzmir Tevfik Fikret High School Middle Department in 1981-1985; He graduated from İzmir Atatürk High School in 1985-1988. Afterwards, he graduated from Essex Junction High School in the USA between 1988-1989. After graduating from Ege University Faculty of Medicine in 1995, he completed his specialty training in Dokuz Eylül University Faculty of Medicine, Department of Plastic Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery and became a Plastic Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery Specialist in 2003. Between 2003-2007, he worked at İzmir Atatürk Training and Research Hospital, 1st Plastic Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery Clinic. As of 2007, as Assistant Professor, Dokuz Eylul University Faculty of Medicine, Starting to work in the Department of Plastic Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery, Dr. Demirdöver was awarded the title of Associate Professor in 2013 and "Professor" in 2019, after working at Helsinki University Faculty of Medicine, Plastic Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery Clinic in Finland in 2008. He is still working as a "Professor" in Dokuz Eylul University Faculty of Medicine, Department of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery.

In 2004, Prof. Dr. Cenk DEMİRDÖVER became a Fellow of the European Board of Plastic Surgery EBOPRAS (European Board of Plastic Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery). After being appointed as EBOPRAS Turkey delegate in 2011, he was elected to the EBOPRAS Board of Directors in 2016. In 2017, he became the Chairman of the EBOPRAS Expert Affairs Committee; He was elected as the Chairman of the EBOPRAS Accreditation Committee in 2018 and as the Second Chairman of the EBOPRAS in 2021. In 2018, he was elected as a member of the Board of Directors of the European Society of Plastic Surgery Associations ESPRAS (European Society of Plastic Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery).

After working on the boards of the Turkish Plastic Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery Association (TPRECD) as the responsible of Internet and e-Journal in the 2014-2016 and 2016-2018 periods, he works as the Second Chairman of the TPRECD Board of Directors for the 2021-2023 period.

He was the Assistant Editor of the Turkish Journal of Plastic Surgery between 2008 and 2015. Demirdöver has been the Editor-in-Chief of the same journal since 2015. In addition, he is Associate Editor of the journal Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery; he is a member of the Editorial Board of the European Journal of Plastic Surgery, Journal of Wound Care and Dokuz Eylul Faculty of Medicine.

There are more than 60 scientific publications of Prof. Dr Cenk Demirdöver; 9 book chapters; He has a total of 314 posters and free papers, 61 of which were presented at international congresses and symposiums, and many invited speakers.

Prof. Dr. Cenk Demirdöver speaks English and French fluently, He is married to Dermatologist Dr. Burcu Demirdöver, and has a daughter.
